Introduction

Welcome! Back to Basics is a Mixed Level class featuring drills and instruction that builds on Belly Dance fundamentals. The class starts with warm-up drills and finishes with cool-down stretches.

This class features instruction in various hip shimmies, including:

  • Review of the basic hip shimmy
  • 3/4 hip shimmy
  • Paradiddle hip shimmy
  • Various Foot patterns;
    • Traveling forward and backwards
    • In place variations
    • Floor patterns
  • Short combinations using the new movements
